Provide clean water, a cool resting area, separate food and litter spaces, and a safe carrier. Arrange an initial veterinary examination to discuss parasite control, vaccination and sterilisation. Introduce food and environmental changes gradually, and seek veterinary help for persistent loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea or breathing problems.
